Accommodation in Marrakech and Agafay

Our accommodation selection is deliberately short: we only list places we know and can answer for.

The Agafay desert camps are our speciality. Forty minutes from the medina, they offer a night under canvas with a real bathroom, dinner under the stars and sunrise over the Atlas — the stay that turns an excursion into a memory.

In town, a medina riad and a Gueliz hotel are not the same experience: the first for immersion and quiet behind thick walls, the second for the pool and easy car access.

Frequently asked questions

Riad in the medina or hotel in Gueliz?

The riad for atmosphere and closeness to the souks, provided you accept arriving on foot or by horse-drawn carriage. Gueliz for modern comfort, a pool and parking.

Is a night in Agafay comfortable?

The camps we work with have equipped tents with a bed, electricity and a private bathroom. Winter nights are cold — a heater is normally provided.

Is the transfer to Agafay included?

Yes, the return transfer from your Marrakech hotel is included in the Agafay nights we offer.

Can I combine an Agafay night with a balloon flight?

Yes, it is our most requested combination. Take-off is close to the camp, which avoids a night drive from Marrakech.

Can you swim at an Agafay desert camp?

Yes, most camps have a pool facing the Atlas mountains. It is the main selling point of the 'pool and lunch' day packages, which are in heavy demand from April to October.
