Marrakech makes an ideal base: within an hour the landscape shifts from the stony Agafay plateau to the green valleys of the Atlas, and in three hours you reach the ocean at Essaouira or the Ouzoud waterfalls.

Every excursion starts in the morning at your hotel or riad and brings you back in the late afternoon. Transport, driver and guiding are included; meals and entrance fees vary by excursion and are confirmed when we reply.

You pay nothing online: you receive a booking voucher to show on the day, and payment is made on site to the operator.

Which excursion should I pick for a first visit?

If you only have a few days, Agafay for the sunset and Ourika for the mountains give two very different moods with minimal driving.

Is hotel pick-up included?

Yes, on every excursion departing from Marrakech. Give us the name of your hotel or riad when you enquire. Inside the medina the meeting point is sometimes the nearest accessible square.

Are the excursions suitable for children?

Most are family friendly. Ouzoud involves a downhill walk and Imlil some elevation — tell us the children’s ages and we will advise.

What happens if the weather is bad?

The operator may postpone or cancel. Since no money is taken in advance, there is nothing to refund.

Is the Agafay desert worth it?

Yes, provided you know what it is: Agafay is a stone desert, not sand dunes. Forty minutes from the medina, it is the only way to spend an evening in the desert if you do not have three days to drive down to Merzouga.
