Agafay desert dinner show with camel ride from Marrakech

Forty minutes from Marrakech, the Agafay plateau rolls its stone hills out towards the Atlas — a stone desert with no sand dunes, not to be confused with the Sahara. You arrive in the late afternoon, when the light rakes across the ridges: a camel ride at sunset, mint tea at the camp, then dinner under a tent as the musicians set up.
It is the trip to choose when you do not have three days to drive down to the Merzouga dunes: a real evening in the desert with no overnight travel. You are dropped back at your hotel later in the evening.

Frequently asked questions
What time does it start?
Mid-afternoon — the exact time follows the sunset and changes with the season. It is confirmed when we reply to your request.
Is the evening suitable for children?
Yes. The camel ride is led by handlers and dinner is seated under the tent. Tell us the children’s ages in your request.
What should I bring?
A jacket, even in summer: evenings are cool on the plateau. Closed shoes are more comfortable for the ride.
Is a vegetarian option available at dinner?
Let us know when booking: Agafay camp caterers generally offer a vegetarian alternative, but we prefer to confirm it case by case rather than guarantee it by default.
