Ouzoud waterfalls day trip with lunch and boat ride

Duration: 10 h Start: 8 am start Option: Group
The Ouzoud waterfalls and their pool surrounded by greenery

The Ouzoud waterfalls are the highest in Morocco: a series of 110-metre drops among olive groves, around three hours' drive from Marrakech. The walk down follows shaded paths, with Barbary macaques watching from the trees.

At the bottom, a small boat takes you close to the curtain of water, and terrace restaurants serve lunch facing the falls. It is the longest of our day trips and one of the most requested from spring to autumn.

Frequently asked questions

How hard is the walking?

The way down takes about twenty minutes on maintained paths; the climb back a little longer. Good shoes are enough; the route does not suit pushchairs.

Can you swim?

Swimming is possible in the lower pools depending on season and water flow. Bring swimwear and a towel from spring to autumn.

Are the monkeys dangerous?

No, but they are wild animals used to visitors: do not feed them, and keep a firm grip on sunglasses and phones.
